An exceptional sale of art from California impressionist Thomas H. McKay. We're conducting this estate sale on behalf of the McKay family. The archive of oils, watercolors, gouaches has been in the family possession for decades since McKay's death in 1941. The collection is extensive and includes significant works featuring Catalina, the California desert, local scenes, all dating from the early 1900s through the 1930s. Additionally we have works by other artists including Fernando Carrere, Helen Luitjens, Millard Sheets and others.
More photos of the archive were added late this afternoon. The household also includes vintage collectibles, old saddles, two Navajo turquoise necklaces, vintage kitchenware, vintage puppets (Charlie McCarthy, Jerry Mahoney, etc.), a handful of antiques, crystal, bric-a-brac, plus iron patio set, metal bunk bed, a few small antique furniture pieces, and a few DVDs, CDs and records and much more.
Also for sale is a 2018 Kia in very good condition and very clean. Please know the house is quite small and the number of people admitted at any given time will be limited. Masks will be required for entry.
