Vintage Wrought Iron Gates, Circa 1920s!

Please click images for larger view.

This pair of wrought iron gates date back to the 1920s. They
originally were installed at the entrance to a small stone court
yard in a now defunct Napa Valley winery (name unknown)

.Each panel measures 37½” wide by eight feet high for a
combined total of 75” wide by eight feet. The width of each
panel includes a vertical hinged bar to which it is attached.
One gate features a seven-inch sliding bolt.

The gates were found a number of years ago by a builder who
shipped them down to Los Angeles with the idea, then, of
incorporating them into a home he had under construction. The
gates have a rusty patina from being outdoors for so many
years. But they are in very good condition.
They can easily, if necessary, be cleaned up and incorporated
into the right indoor setting and used as a room divider or
entrance to another area of a house. Or they can be a decorative
front, back or side door entrance to a patio or courtyard. They
are stored in Pacific Palisades and easy to show.
